I've been involved in flood restoration in the Los Angeles area for almost two decades now (mainly the mudslides when they happen) and photos are one of the things no one ever thinks of ahead of time. If they're lucky they though about flood insurance, etc, but not the other things like photos which are priceless. I always recommend now that we're in the digital age to scan photos and store them in your online email or some other system you can upload them to.

-Mike

Re: Restoration of Flood-Damaged Photos

Thanks for such a nice post on the restoration of the damaged photos .Loosing some thing important is really very difficult to tolerate but now it is good that restoration of such photos is available.

Re: Restoration of Flood-Damaged Photos

ya ,i am totally agree that loss of precious photos is really heart wrenching thing. And i am sorry for those people who lost their precious photos in natural disaster. But i am really thankful to such organization which is going to restore the flood damage photos.

Re: Restoration of Flood-Damaged Photos

Anybody knows if there is such service in other countries?

Re: Restoration of Flood-Damaged Photos

I lost a lot of my possesion in a house fire, and in the end i didnt care about the expensive items like the tv's, music systems, its the photos and homemade movies that i miss the most.

Re: Restoration of Flood-Damaged Photos

I pray for these people.
